(1) Colour
Grey colour with a light greenish shade.
(2) Physical properties
(a) Cement should feel smooth when touched between fingers.
(b) If hand is inserted in a bag or heap of cement,It should feel cool
(c) If a small quantity of Cement is thrown in a bucket of water,It should sink and should not float on the surface.
(3) Presence of lumps
Cement should be free from lumps.

Classification of Limes:-               (1) Fat Lime              (2) Hydraulic Lime              (3) Poor Lime or Lean Lime ( 1) Fat Lime:- This lime is also known as the high calcium lime.pure lime, rich lime or white lime.
